OPENING HOURS

Open Bank Holidays10am - 5pm

Dorset County Museum is open all year round.

April to October: 10am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday

November to March: 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday

ADMISSION PRICES

Adult Gift Aid Admission: £6.50 (up to 2 free children aged 5 to 15 years)

Children under 5 years: free

Children 5 to 15 years: 2 accompanied children free (additional children £2.00 each)

As a UK taxpayer your Gift Aid Admission includes a discretionary 10% donation which allows us, as a charity, to claim back 25 pence in the £1 from the Government. If you are not a UK taxpayer or you wish to opt out of this donation, please notify the desk staff when purchasing your admission ticket and a reduced fee will be charged.

MUSEUM SHOP & TEA ROOM

The Museum Gift Shop offers a fantastic selection of unique gifts, jewellery, cards, local crafts and Dorset publications all selected to compliment the Museum's extensive collection.

Rest and relax with a pot of Dorset tea or a cafetiere of delicious coffee and choose from the tempting selection of homemade cakes, scones and biscuits, available in The Museum Tea Room.

Shop and Tea Room also open to non museum visitors.

Please note: The Tea Room will be closed 26th - 28th May for essential maintenance.

GROUPS

For non school groups the charge is £5 per person for a visit including guided tour (a minimum charge of £50 applies). Contact secretary@dorsetcountymuseum.org for more details or to book a visit.

VISITORS WITH DISABILITIES

Wheelchair user entry (and free carer) £5 each There is disabled access to the ground floor and to the Jurassic Coast Gallery on the first floor via a lift.

FAMILIES

Up to 2 children aged 5 to 15 admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Children under 5 years admitted free. Additional children £2 each.

There is a set down point in front of the Museum. Nearest disabled parking is at the ‘Top of Town’ car park just beyond the roundabout at the end of High West Street.
